Food Drive Collection for Bryson City Food Pantry

The Food Pantry is a collaborative effort of local churches to, serve those in need of emergency food assistance.

In conjunction with Mountain Layers Brewing Company's Grand Opening on Saturday, May 20th, from Noon to 10:00 PM, we will be conducting a Food Drive Collection for the Bryson City Food Pantry.

The Food Drive Collection will be held from Monday, May 8th, through Saturday, May 20th, and all food and monetary (checks only, payable to Bryson City Food Pantry) donations will benefit local families in need of emergency food assistance provided by the Bryson City Food Pantry.

Collection barrels will be located inside the main entrance of Mountain Layers Brewing Company, which is located at 90 Everett Street ( Southeast Corner of Everett and Island Street) in downtown Bryson City, and accepting food and monetary (checks only) donations during business hours: Sundays: 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM, and Monday through Saturday: Noon to 10:00 PM.

Let's stock their shelves, the Food Pantry could use our help, please bring or drop off Canned Goods and Non-perishable foods as these items are particularly needed:

Canned vegetables, spaghetti sauce, beans, soup, beef stew and fruit.

Canned tuna, salmon, and chicken

Dry Goods, such as spaghetti, noodles, rice, and coffee

Peanut Butter and Nutella

For safety of those served, the Food Pantry is unable to accept: Homemade food items, perishable foods and items with '"expired dates."

Food and Monetary Donation Items can also be brought to the Bryson City Presbyterian Church, 311 Everett Street, throughout the year, Monday through Thursday, from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. If you have any questions, you may also call the church at 828-488-2480 during the same hours noted above.
